Over the last year, we’ve all been through so much! Here are some top things that happened in Tomorrow Movement’s 2024, and how Tomorrow Movement is still pushing them forward!
National Campaigns
National Strategy Retreat
There was Retreat in February, where 22 of us came together to workshop. The retreat covered storytelling to community mapping and campaign clinics. It was such a valuable way to reset and start the year with strengthened connections and skills!

Renew Australia for All
In March, the Renew Australia for All Campaign launched! This campaign proves that folks from all walks of life can come together to create a united vision for a more just future. Alongside the union movement, social service sector, multicultural community representatives, climate experts and young people, Renew Australia for All brings a new transformative plan to the government.
This campaign was a massive part of Tomorrow Movement’s year. From coalition building to pushing Senate enquiries, we are commitment to fighting for solutions that work for everyone.

Anti-Nuclear
More recently, Tomorrow Movement has been continued to work with the Renew Australia for All to push back against Dutton’s dud nuclear idea!

Pay the Rent
For most of us, living and working on this continent means being a settler on stolen Land. Continuing to live under colonisation will never be safe or just for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people. That’s why Tomorrow Movement redirects some of our resources by paying the rent. Not to a landlord, but to the real owners of the Land. Maybe this is something you could do too?

Local Team Highlights
The Racial Justice Learning Collective (RJLC) is one of the things that Tomorrow Movement is most proud of this year.
This grew in Warrane / Sydney, Naarm / Melbourne and Magandjin / Brisbane through the incredible work of Imo, Kai and Cal! The RJLC was made by People of Colour (POC) for First Nations people and POC. It is a space where everyone is invited to reflect and learn. Racial Justice Learning Collective

Naarm Melbourne
On the ground in Naarm Melbourne so much work happened to build our movement fighting for good jobs, great public services and a safe climate for all.
We sat in at Bill Shorten’s office, standing against cuts to disability support services during a summer of heat.
In September, we worked with comrades at the Renters and Housing Union (RAHU) to cohost a community listening event bringing together dozens of people from across our community.
Behind all this the naarm Racial Justice Learning Collective ran eight sessions throughout the year.

Gadigal Country Sydney
January also saw a Summer Escalation at Chris Bowens office to protest another summer of heat. In the office, young people created a vision for the future, and shared stories of how climate disasters had impacted them and their community.

Dharawal Country Wollongong
In July, 30 community also gathered in leaders gathered together here on Dharawal land from across the Illawarra. We gathered to share our stories, share food and imagine a vision for the future of our region. A future where workers have good, secure unionised jobs in climate-safe industries, our communities are resilient to climate disaster and our public services care for those who need it most.

Lutruwita Tasmania
In Lutruwita/Tasmania Kai and the team have been busy. They organised the only community listening event in Lutruwita as part of the Renew Australia for All coalition. The community power building has continued with aligned organisations since then. They also hosted the first ever Tomorrow Movement DNA training in nipaluna/Hobart in October! It was so exciting to spend two days exploring how social movements work and our plan to win.

Youth Voter Bloc launches
To round things off, Tomorrow Movement launched our Youth Voter Bloc! After realising in September that this Federal Election, people under 35 were going to make up over 30% in a significant number of areas (+ Genz and Millennials would make up over 47%!!), the staff team got to work with establishing the Fellowship to support the Bloc! If you want to get involved, you can sign up here or put in what you think the vision of the Youth Voter Block should be: https://tomorrowmovement.com/youth-voter-bloc/
There are so many amazing things that happened within Tomorrow Movement’s 2024, that that they can’t all be named… But what we can name is that we are so excited to organise with you all in 2025!
United, we will win.
