This morning in Canberra, something monumental happened. The Renew Australia for All campaign, a bold new alliance of over 50 organisations, officially launched to the public. If you’ve been following our work, you’ll know this campaign represents a shared vision for a clean economy that works for everyone. Today, we took a giant step toward making that vision a reality.
A group of approximately 40 people, dressed in suits and holding a vibrant banner that read Renew Australia for All, gathered on the lawns of Parliament. These were representatives from the Renew coalition, united in their mission to fundamentally shift Australia’s approach to climate action. This isn’t just another campaign—it’s a movement to ensure the government takes an active role in planning our future, rather than leaving climate solutions to the market.
Why This Matters
For too long, the transition to clean energy has felt out of reach for many Australians. Rising energy bills, inadequate housing standards, and a lack of support for renters have left too many people behind. But Renew Australia for All is changing that. This campaign is about ensuring that everyone—no matter where they live or what they earn—can benefit from the opportunities of a clean energy future.
The first piece of policy we’re fighting for under the Renew banner is the Energy Bill Savings Plan. This plan outlines how all Australians can save hundreds of dollars on energy bills through renewable upgrades to their homes. It’s a practical, tangible step toward a fairer, cleaner, and safer Australia. And we’re making sure young people aren’t left behind by pushing for renewables for renters and improved housing standards for all.
Building Power Across Movements
One of the most exciting aspects of this campaign is the coalition behind it. Trade unions, faith groups, social and community services, racial justice organisations, and First Nations advocates have all come together under the Renew Australia for All banner. This kind of alignment across movements is rare, but it’s exactly what we need to build the power required to shift what’s politically possible in this country.

- Resource people and communities to prepare for and respond to the impacts of climate change.
- Secure Australian manufacturing and industry by embracing green opportunities like green iron and aluminium.
